Rock Hall Fan Vote Currently Has An Unlikely Leader
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced the nominees of their 2021 class just a week ago, and already, the Fan Vote is yielding some interesting results.
As of publishing, Fela Kuti is in the lead with 140,883 votes followed by Tina Turner (111,591), Foo Fighters (82,914), Iron Maiden (69,433) and Carole King (67,054.) The remaining vote places are as follows:

-Dionne Warwick (49,293)
-Rage Against the Machine (48,977)
-Chaka Khan (47,551)
-Devo (44,633)
-Todd Rundgren (43,456)
-Mary J. Blige (40,573)
-Jay-Z (36,174)
-LL Cool J (34,215)
-New York Dolls (30,123)
-Kate Bush (29,536)
The Fan Vote will run through April 30 at RockHall.com. Fans are allowed to vote once per day during the Fan Vote period. Visitors of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum in Cleveland will also have the opportunity to vote in person. The “Fans’ Ballot” will be comprised of the top five artists from the fan vote and will be counted among the other ballots filled out by various artists, historians, and music industry professionals.
The 2021 inductees will be announced in May 2021, while the induction ceremony is currently slated to take place this fall in Cleveland.
