Tim McGraw Covers The Cars’ ‘Drive’
Tim McGraw has recorded a cover of The Cars’ “Drive” for his upcoming album.
Tim posted to Instagram along with a video taken on the road by his daughter Gracie, “I love finding cover songs for my albums…we’ve done Suspicions, Tiny Dancer, Stars Go Blue – for the next album, I really wanted to find something cool and unique. “Drive” was one we covered in bars back in the day and it still reminds me of high school. @thecars made such killer sounding records!”
“Drive” is McGraw’s first new music since he released “Thought About You” in October of 2018.
The song “Drive” was the third single from The Cars’ Heartbeat City album released in 1984.
