Motley Crue, Netflix Sued By ‘The Dirt’ Crew Member
A rigging grip that worked on the new Motley Crue biopic The Dirt is suing the band and distributor Netflix for injuries he sustained during the production of the film.
Per The New Orleans Advocate, Louis DiVincenti is suing for damages of $1.8 million for his medical bills after being shocked by a power line that resulted in second and third-degree burns on over 50 percent of his body and the amputation of his right foot.
DiVincenti spent seven weeks in the burn unit at University Medical Hospital in New Orleans for treatment. When he was admitted to the hospital, doctors only game DiVincenti a two percent chance of survival.
In the suit, the production team on The Dirt is accused of failing to “take safety precautions like conducting a safety assessment and making sure the power lines were de-energized.”
At the time of publishing, representatives for Motley Crue and Netflix had yet to comment on the suit.
