This Condition Would Make Phil Collins Consider a Genesis Reunion
For Genesis fans that would love to see the band reunite again, Phil Collins revealed there’s one thing that would make him consider another reunion.
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Collins said he would like to see his son, Nicholas, take over on drums in a Genesis reunion. Nicholas, after all, is currently drumming for his father during his current run of solo shows, so the idea isn’t completely out of the ordinary.
Collins even said that Mike Rutherford and Tony Banks were very impressed with Nicholas’ playing and said, “Mike made the appropriate comment of, ‘He just gets it. He just gets what is needed and what is required and why you’re doing this for that song.’ I thought that was a wonderful thing to say…if we did anything I think it would have to be with Nic on drums because I don’t think I’m capable of it. I think their opinion of Nic is high enough for them to take him onboard as part of the band.”
At least everyone is on the same page, unlike when Wolfgang Van Halen replaced Michael Anthony in Van Halen in 2006. Who could forget that whole situation?
