Cumberland County Schools Going Remote Friday As Winter Weather Looms
With a winter weather system moving into North Carolina on Friday, Cumberland County Schools has announced a remote-learning day for all students.
“Out of an abundance of caution and with the safety of students, employees and families in mind, Cumberland County Schools will transition to remote learning for Friday, January 10. Stay safe and connected!”
Current forecasts call for our region to have a mixture of rain, freezing rain, and possibly light snow Friday evening. But freezing temperatures will be prevailing throughout the day.
Exact timing will depend on storm track, but the bulk of the wintery mix is expected late Friday, tapering off into Saturday.
