Women’s History Spotlight: Katy Lollis of Beasley Media Group
In honor of Women’s History Month, allow me to shine the spotlight on one of my personal favs Katy Lollis, a beacon of success and influence in the male-dominated world of radio.
Katy is the Assistant Market Manager and Director of Sales for Beasley Media Fayetteville, and she’s had a storied career getting her to this point.
Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Katy experienced the life of a military child, which brought her to various locations across the United States. However, it was Sterling Park, Virginia, that Katy considers her childhood home.
Her career in broadcasting began right in Fayetteville, a place she has called home since the early days of her career. Katy’s initial curiosity about the inner workings of radio stations led her to join Beasley Broadcasting in 2007. Over the years, Katy has become an indispensable part of Beasley Broadcasting, rising through the ranks with her unparalleled work ethic, dedication, and tenacity.
Today, she holds the esteemed positions of Assistant Market Manager & Director of Sales for BBGI Fayetteville. Katy’s role encompasses meeting new prospective clients, assisting current customers, and contributing to charitable causes, all of which she finds immensely rewarding.
Beyond her professional success, Katy has an admirable philosophy of balance between work and personal life, advocating for giving one’s all at work while also being fully present for her family at home. Her advice for other women aiming for the top in their careers is grounded in realism and optimism—treating everyone with the respect they deserve. Katy Lollis’ story is not just one of professional achievement but also of personal integrity and balance, making her a true inspiration this Women’s History Month.
