Cumberland County Shelter Animals Enjoy Early Thanksgiving Meal
Thanksgiving is almost here, and there’s plenty to be thankful for – especially for some Cumberland County Animal Services shelter animals, who got an early Thanksgiving meal Tuesday.
The Friends of Cumberland County Animals teamed up with Cumberland County Animal Services to provide the special meal, according to a release.
Catch a glimpse of a couple of the special animals getting their Thanksgiving treats below.
Original release from Cumberland County Animal Services:
Cumberland County Animal Services and the Friends of Cumberland County Animals (FOCCAS) fed a rooster and other shelter animals a pet-friendly Thanksgiving meal on Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. The special meal was well received by all the animals.
FOCCAS, a non-profit that supports pets and their owners in Cumberland County, will be serving a similar Christmas meal on Dec. 17. The group will also be filling stockings for the animals with toys and treats. If you would like to donate, there is a particular need for toys and treats for large dogs.
