According to Setlist.fm, the last show Rage performed was on July 30, 2011 at L.A. Rising at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The band’s last studio album was 2000’s Renegades. Their previous studio efforts include 1992’s Rage Against the Machine, 1996’s Evil Empire and 1999’s The Battle of Los Angeles, which celebrates its 20th anniversary tomorrow (November 2.)
Since Rage disbanded, each member has remained busy. Singer Zack de la Rocha has appeared as a featured vocalist on a number of tracks and reportedly was working on a solo album, but that album was never released. He did, however, join forces with Mars Volta’s Jon Theodore to for One Day as a Lion, which released their self-titled EP in July 2008.
Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk, meanwhile, have been extremely active. From 2001-2007, they were members of Audioslave, which featured the late Chris Cornell on vocals. The band released three studio albums: 2002’s Audioslave, 2005’s Out of Exile and 2006’s Revelations. Morello, Commerford and Wilk would then form Prophets of Rage in 2016 with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real. The band released their self-titled LP in 2017.
