…And Now Corey Taylor With An Important Grammar Lesson
Ladies, gentlemen, and Maggots: If you take one of Corey Taylor‘s tweets to heart this week, make sure it’s this one about apostrophe use.
Taylor sent out the following evergreen tweet that hits writers, like me, right in the feels: “90% of you still use an apostrophe to show something is plural. It’s still incorrect. And you really think I’m gonna give a sh-t what you think?”
Somewhere, an English teacher is weeping and wondering, “Why can’t I say the same thing to my students?” (Because, Susan/or any other generic name…you would get fired.)
Hopefully, Taylor will think about sending out a weekly grammar tweet. Frankly, it could help make the Twitter platform a better place. Maybe explain the difference between “it’s” and “its” next time!

It’s still incorrect.
