WrestleMania 35: 7 Biggest OMG Moments
WrestleMania 35 took place last night as 82,265 members of the WWE Universe packed MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. to experience “The Showcase of the Immortals.”
From the triumphant to the gruesome and everywhere in between, here are the seven biggest OMG moments from WrestleMania 35.
7. Hall and Nash’s Surprise Appearance
There’s always some sort of surprise appearance at WrestleMania. After Hulk Hogan appeared at the top of the show, the last thing anyone expected was to see Scott Hall and Kevin Nash in a comic relief bit as doctors treating the injuries of Colin Jost and Michael Che after their participation in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Don't worry. @ColinJost and Michael Che of @nbcsnl fame are in good hands.#WrestleMania @RealKevinNash @SCOTTHALLNWO pic.twitter.com/yNCMgrmcRo

6. The Doctor of Thuganomics Returns
John Cena went into the way-back machine, rebooted his Doctor of Thuganomics gimmick and took it to Elias, which was literally the last thing anyone expected from Cena who wasn’t even booked in a match.

5. Seth Rollins defeats Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship
Not only did the Universal Championship match kick off the main card, but Rollins pulled off a stunning victory with three curb stomps to the Beast Incarnate.

4. All of the bumps Shane McMahon took during his “Falls Count Anywhere” match with The Miz
Continuing his years-long “Daddy, please love me” tour, Shane-O-Mac, as is his brand, took some seriously stupid bumps at WrestleMania. The one below took the cake. The fact Shane went on to win the match is the icing on said cake.

3. Triple H using a pair of pliers to rip out Batista’s nose ring
This was equal parts revolting and incredible. Fortunately, Triple H won the match. The no holds barred match stipulation also had a stipulation in which if Triple H lost, he’d have to retire. So, maybe they can repeat this nastiness again?

2. Kofi Kingston winning the WWE Championship
Easily one of the best feel-good moments of the night belonged to Kofi Kingston who, after 11 years wrestling for the WWE, won the WWE Championship for the first time.

1. Becky Lynch wins the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships
The finish definitely seemed rushed, but at the end of it all, many members of the WWE Universe actually got what they wanted: The Man closing out WrestleMania holding both the Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championships.
