Hurricane Florence Donation Distribution Event Update
– After an extremely popular opening, a Hurricane Florence Joint Disaster Relief Distribution event has added another date on this Thursday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will be held at the same location at 504 N. McPherson Church Road, behind the Surplus Warehouse, which is directly across from Chuck E. Cheese’s. A select number of clothing items will be distributed to individuals who were affected by Hurricane Florence. The event was also held last Friday and Saturday.
FEMA case numbers and photo IDs will be necessary for those applying for assistance. The affected individuals do not have to be from Fayetteville.
Caring for Others, Inc., Delivering Good, Inc. and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement (NOBLE) have teamed together to organize the event. The organizations have worked with Mayor Mitch Colvin and Manna Church, Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Simon Temple AME Zion Church and True Vine Ministries to make this effort possible.
Affected individuals should fill out a Disaster Relief Voucher, which is available on the City’s website at www.fayettevillenc.gov/distribution, to let the event organizers know the needs of their families. The vouchers should be brought to the event and turned in at the registration table. Vouchers will also be available on-site for those not able to fill out forms in advance.
