Jefferson Starship To Perform in Smithfield on April 18 During 50th Anniversary Tour
Jefferson Starship are making a stop in Smithfield on their 50th anniversary tour.

The group will play classic hits and new material. Doors open at 6 p.m. The show takes place at Johnston Community College's main campus.
The band started in the 1970s. Over the decades, they became one of the most successful arena-playing groups in classic rock. Co-founder David Freiberg still plays with them, joined by drummer Donny Baldwin, keyboardist Chris Smith, lead vocalist Cathy Richardson, and lead guitarist Jude Gold.
Founding member Paul Kantner died in 2016. According to Etix and the band's website, his spirit of exploration and adventure continues to influence their music today.
Tickets for the Smithfield show are on sale at etix.com. Mezzanine seats cost $45 each. Orchestra seats cost $50.
Two VIP packages are available with limited spots. Both options cost more than $100 and include premium seats, signed memorabilia, and other perks.
