Parkton Animal Oasis Launches Fall Festival on Weekends Starting Oct. 11
The Parkton Animal Oasis, a 7-acre wildlife sanctuary located at 1585 Armory Road, has launched its weekend festival season and will be open to the public through November 2.

Image Courtesy Parkton Animal OasisA hidden gem in Robeson County is welcoming visitors this fall. The Parkton Animal Oasis, a 7-acre wildlife sanctuary located at 1585 Armory Road, has launched its weekend festival season and will be open to the public weekends through November 2.
"Get ready to celebrate the season with Fall Festivities at Parkton Animal Oasis throughout October and November! On select weekends, our zoo will be transformed into a hub of autumn fun for the whole family. Spend the day making memories as you meet our exotic animals, from adorable fennec foxes to playful capybaras and curious coatimundis."
Admission is $10. The sanctuary gives families a chance to see rare and unusual animals up close. Guests can meet fennec foxes, capybaras, coatimundis, a Tibetan yak, wallabies, prairie dogs, and even miniature horses. Every animal lives in a USDA-approved, custom-built enclosure designed for its needs.

Owners Wendy and Michael Gibbs handle the daily care of the animals and created the sanctuary as both a safe home for wildlife and a fun learning environment for visitors.
The Oasis is open for Fall Festival on October 11-12, October 18-19, October 25-26 and November 1-2.
Festival weekends feature more than just the animals. Local vendors set up with food, drinks, and handmade goods, while children enjoy fall decorations and seasonal activities throughout the grounds.
Visiting hours run from 3-7 p.m., and reservations are required for small groups to ensure the animals stay comfortable. Admission fees help support animal care and the sanctuary’s educational programs.
