The ever-growing arts scene in historic downtown Fayetteville will soon be in full flourish at the ninth annual Indigo Moon Film Festival! The festival will span the entire weekend of October 11-13, and will showcase the creative efforts of independent filmmakers across the country.

What To Expect At The Indigo Moon Film Festival

With a staggering 80 films spread across the whole weekend, IMFF will feature everything from 2-minute shorts, to full feature-length productions.

Fayetteville's Cameo Art House and Capitol Encore Academy will host screenings of films across varying genres. Whether you're a fan of romantic films, psychological thrillers, coming-of-age tales, or documentaries, the Indigo Moon Film Festival has something for moviegoers of all tastes and preferences.

The festival kicks off on Friday, October 11, with a special screening of the documentary "Luther: Never Too Much" on the life and legacy of music icon Luther Vandross. The film will be shown again on Sunday afternoon if you can't make the Friday showing.

Over two dozen of the festival's featured filmmakers are slated to appear at this year's Indigo Moon Film Festival. Most of the filmmakers will be part of Q&A sessions following the screening of their projects. This is the perfect opportunity for aspiring movie-makers to learn more about the craft and gain valuable insight and advice from established directors, writers, and producers.

You can see the full IMFF screening schedule here, which also includes descriptions of each film. You can also use their intuitive Movie Matchmaker tool to help narrow down which films you would most enjoy given your preferences.
