This new pizza flavor is an ambitious endeavor for DiGiorno, but it’s one they’re excited to offer heading in to Turkey Day. In a news release from PR Newswire, DiGiorno’s Senior Brand Manager Kimberly Holowiak expressed their eagerness to add a festive flavor to their product.
“Our passion is pizza,” said Kimberly, “and we are always looking for unique ways to infuse the fresh-baked taste of DIGIORNO into moments of celebration – even the most traditional holiday dinners.”
According to the news release, the DiGiorno Thanksgiving pizza will include all the classic accoutrements of a proper Thanksgiving feast. Each slice will be topped with mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, turkey, diced sweet potatoes, green beans, and cranberries. And of course this will come with a drizzle of gravy sauce for an extra kick of flavor.
I won’t lie, after the initial confusion of the words “Thanksgiving pizza” subsides, it honestly sounds pretty tasty. After all, who doesn’t love to load up their plate every Thanksgiving? Well now DiGiorno is giving you a way to eat the plate as well! Sure, it’s not exactly traditional. But who knows, maybe you’ll love it so much you make it a regular part of your yearly Thanksgiving menu!
But don’t look at your local grocery store for this new specialty pie. DiGiorno is selling a limited number of them exclusively online. Customers will be able to order them on a first-come-first-serve basis every Wednesday through the month of November.
