OPA! The Annual Fayetteville Greek Festival Returns This Weekend
This weekend you and the family can enjoy a full Mediterranean experience with the return of the 2023 Fayetteville Greek Festival! The fun-filled two day event will be at the Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church on Oakridge Ave. All ages are welcome to attend.
The Fayetteville Greek Festival will have much to offer this year. Their official website is even promoting the return of fan-favorite events that were halted due to COVID, including a dance troupe and a live performance from a traditional Greek band.
The event planners will also be conducting church tours for those eager to “…see some of the finest examples of Byzantine iconography in the Sandhills of North Carolina and learn more about the Greek Orthodox Church.” You can also go check out the numerous vendors offering things from jewelry, authentic Greek olive oil, and lovely oil paintings.
While you’re there you can also enter their raffle to win many cool Greek goodies, including the grand prize: an all expense paid trip for two to Greece! You wanna visit Santorini and see if it’s just as beautiful as your computer’s default wallpaper makes it look? There’s your chance!
But of course it wouldn’t be a Greek festival without the food! You’ll be eating good this weekend with authentic Greek cuisine, including gyros, Greek fries, and dolmades. You can even satisfy your sweet tooth with a number of satisfying Greek sweets like diples, kataifi, and of course the classic baklava! See the entire mouth-watering menu here.
The 2023 Fayetteville Greek Festival runs all weekend long, starting Saturday at 11 a.m. and running until 8 p.m.. Festivities will resume Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.. Bring your friends, your spouse, your kids, your yaya, whoever you want really. Be a part of all the Fayetteville fun this weekend at the Fayetteville Greek Festival!
