Dave Grohl Rolls Up With His Smoker, BBQs for a Homeless Shelter
Dave Grohl continues to live up to his “Nice Guy” reputation by cooking for nearly 500 people at a Los Angeles-based homeless shelter.
Per TMZ, the Foo Fighters frontman towed his large smoker to The Hope Mission shelter where he cooked countless pounds of meat for 450 unhoused people and 50 staff members. The tabloid reports Grohl showed up at the shelter around midnight last Wednesday (February 22) and then proceeded to prepare food for the next 16 hours.
Dave Grohl is proving once again why he's just as much a rock star off the stage as he is on it ... putting his BBQ skills to work to feed the less fortunate. https://t.co/1vBygu7hAv

Grohl managed to catch a few naps here and there in the shelter parking lot while tending to the feast which included “ribs, pork butt, brisket, cabbage, coleslaw and beans.”
This is far from the first time Grohl has lent his love and skill for BBQ for some good. He showed his support for local firefighters in 2018 while they were battling massive wildfires by showing up to Calabasas, Calif.’s Fire Station 68 and cooking up another feast.
