Lillington Woman Wins $100,000 In Second-Chance Lottery Drawing
A Lillington woman is celebrating this week, as she won $100,000 in a North Carolina Education Lottery second-chance drawing.
It’s the second time this week someone from our listening area has won a big jackpot. Patti Pilat of Sanford won $250,000 on a scratch-off ticket earlier this week.
Susan Cummings of Lillington won in the Multiple The Cash second-chance lottery drawing. There were more than 14.2 MILLION entries in the second-chance lottery drawing.
It was the fourth and final second-chance drawing for the Multiply The Cash promotion. Cummings picked up her prize Thursday at lottery headquarters, and will take home $71,010 after state and federal taxes.

Locals have had a lot of good luck with the lottery recently, with two Cumberland County winners hitting on the same Cash 5 ticket in late January also. Lola Allen from Fayetteville, and an unnamed person in Spring Lake, each won $264,419 – one third of a nearly $800,000 jackpot – before taxes.
