Be VERY careful out there today, as the National Weather Service is warning our entire region of dangerous heat index temperatures. With Fayetteville expected to top out around 110 degrees in heat index.

"Dangerously hot and humid conditions will continue today. Temperatures remained in the 80s for most of last night, providing little relief between the heat of the days. Be mindful of pets, who are also susceptible to heat-related illnesses and death," NWS Raleigh said in their morning Tweet.

Big Weather, Don Schwenneker at our weather partner ABC 11 also helpfully reminded to be careful with your pets out there today. Asphalt temperatures can near up to 150 degrees! Keep those pets off that asphalt.
