McDonald’s Offering Free ‘Thank You Meal’ to First Responders, Healthcare Workers
The best things in life are free, and McDonald’s is helping say thank you to some of the best people in our lives right now. The fast food chain is offering a free “Thank You Meal” to all first responders and healthcare workers from April 22 to May 5.
There are three meal options for breakfast (Egg McMuffin, Chicken McGriddle, or Bacon Egg and Cheese Biscuit) and three other options for lunch or dinner (double cheeseburger, 6-piece Chicken McNuggets, or Filet-O-Fish). To help keep up with the likely high demand, substitutions and customizations aren’t allowed for this promotion. But that’s a small price to pay for a free meal. All of the meals come with a drink and hash browns (breakfast) or fries (lunch/dinner).
To get your meal, just ask for a Thank You Meal when you order, select your meal option, and show proof of employment. That’s it.
According to the comments on the company’s Facebook post, all employees associated with health care or first responder organizations are eligible for the meal. You can only get it by going to the restaurant though. No Uber Eats or DoorDash orders are allowed for this promotion.
