Elton John to Perform at the Oscars
Elton John has been announced to be part of one of five performances at the 92nd Oscars ceremony.
Per the Oscars’ official website, John will perform “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again,” the song he and Bernie Taupin wrote for Rocketman, which is nominated for Best Original Song. The other four performances are of the other Best Original Song nominees, and they include the following:
-“I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away” from “Toy Story 4” – Performed by Randy Newman
-“I’m Standing With You” from “Breakthrough” – Performed by Chrissy Metz
-“Into The Unknown” from “Frozen II” – Performed by Idina Menzel and AURORA
-“Stand Up” from “Harriet” – Performed by Cynthia Erivo
If “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” wins, this will be John’s second Oscar. His first Oscar win was also in the Best Original Song category for “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King.
The 92nd Oscars airs live on Sunday, February 9 at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on ABC.
