Green Day: Details on ‘Beat Saber’ Music Pack, See Game Awards Performance
Green Day made their presence known at The Game Awards tonight (December 12) with a performance and news of their new music pack on the VR game Beat Saber.
Per Oculus, the Green Day music pack costs $8.99 and comes with the following six tracks: “American Idiot,” “Boulevard of Broken Dreams,” “Holiday,” “Minority,” “Father of All…” and “Fire, Ready, Aim.” The latter two tracks are featured on the band’s upcoming album, Father of All, which is set for release on February 7, 2020 and is available for pre-order through multiple outlets here.
The music pack goes live at 12:00 AM ET (December 13) along with 360 degree gameplay.
In a statement, Billie Joe Armstrong said, “VR is rock ’n’ roll—it’s fearless, it’s challenging the way things are done, it’s never taking no for an answer. It’s also the most engaging and unique way for fans around the world to experience our music. Strap in!”
Green Day performed two songs during The Game Awards, “Welcome to Paradise” and “Father of All…” The performance can be viewed in the videos below.
