‘Sesame Street’ Dream Guest? Bruce Springsteen
Could Sesame Street eventually intersect with E Street?
The iconic children’s show has featured a number of legendary musicians over the past 50 years, but there’s still one guest they have yet to book.
Sesame Street executive producer Ben Lehmann told The New York Post, “Bruce Springsteen is cited the most internally [to appear on the show] but it’s just never worked out. He says he’d love to do it, but we just haven’t caught that moment in time. He’s got an incredible story and music career.”
The show works with various freelance talent bookers to land their big guest stars from all areas of the entertainment world, so hopefully, one day, Sesame Street will be brought to you by the letter “B,” for Boss.
As for who Lehmann’s favorite guest appearance has been, he said, “I’m an Elvis Costello fan and we had him on twice, so I’m good.”
