John Fogerty Used His Woodstock 50 Paycheck to Buy a Veteran a Home
John Fogerty made sure some good came from the mess that was Woodstock 50.
Per Variety, Fogerty used the paycheck he received from Woodstock 50 and donated it to Veterans Village Container Homes in Las Vegas, which provides homes to United States veterans in need. Artists booked for the Woodstock anniversary festival were guaranteed payment regardless of whether the event went on as scheduled.
Fogerty will be in attendance at the Veterans Village groundbreaking ceremony in Las Vegas on this Veterans Day (November 11), where he will be in the middle of a mini-residency at the Encore Theater at the Wynn Las Vegas. That same day, Fogerty will also treat local veterans to a private screening of his new concert film 50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks.
