Metallica Countdown Clock Might Be For 2020 Festival Appearances
Metallica is set to make an announcement on Thursday, October 10 at 12 PM EDT, and some new hints indicate it might have to do with a number of headlining festival appearances in 2020.
The social media accounts for Sonic Temple, Louder Than Life, Welcome to Rockville and the Aftershock Festival all shared the same video along with the following message: “The page you are trying to access is no longer under admin control. We’ve been waiting long enough. We’ve taken matters into our own hands. We will get what we want. This is very simple. You have until October 10th at noon Pacific Time to give us what we want. Otherwise, we’ll leak your server access credentials. You have 3 days.”
Considering the message’s deadline and that the new Metallica website, MetallicaXX.com, has a countdown clock that will expire at the same time, many have put the messages together and believe Metallica will be headlining all four of those festivals next year.
As with previous guesses around the initial unveiling of the new Metallica website, we’ll all find out for sure on Thursday, October 10 at 12 PM EDT.
