Chris Cornell Film: Actor Playing Late Singer Revealed
New details around the Brad Pitt/Peter Berg-helmed film about Chris Cornell have been uncovered, including the actor set to play the late Soundgarden/Audioslave frontman.
Like A Stone is currently slated for release in 2021, per its IMDb page. While it was initially announced as a documentary, it appears that the film will contain some various dramatizations with actors. Playing Cornell is Lauchlin MacDonald, while wife Vicky Cornell will be played by Drena De Niro, the adopted daughter of Robert De Niro. The film also touts archival footage of both Soundgarden and Audioslave, as well as footage of Nirvana and Pearl Jam.
Like A Stone was originally announced by Variety back in February. Pitt and Berg’s production company, Film 45, is behind the film. Pitt is listed as the executive producer of the film, with Vicky Cornell receiving a producer credit as well.
