Ozzy Osbourne Back in the Top 10 of Billboard Hot 100 for First Time in Three Decades
Ozzy Osbourne has just accomplished something he hasn’t done in three decades: Appear on the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100.
Osbourne’s featured vocal on “Take What You Want,” his recent collaboration with Post Malone and also features Travis Scott, has debuted on the Hot 100 at number eight. The last time The Prince of Darkness appeared in the top ten was in 1989 with “Close My Eyes Forever,” his duet with Lita Ford.
It’s not a bad feat considering before Osbourne recorded his vocals, he didn’t even know who Post Malone was. Osbourne said in a recent interview with U.K.’s The Sun, “I’d never even heard of this kid.” However, when Osbourne recorded the vocal for “Take What You Want,” he got along really well with Malone’s producer, Andrew Watt.
“I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer,” said Osbourne. “It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.”
