Paul McCartney Marks the 10th Anniversary of Meat Free Monday with #MFMCountMeIn Campaign
Paul McCartney, along with his daughters Mary and Stella McCartney, launched the Meat Free Monday initiative ten years ago, and now they’re looking to increase awareness with the new #MFMCountMeIn campaign.
#MFMCountMeIn will include support from businesses, non-profit organizations, educational groups and celebrities including Ringo Starr, Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson, Joanna Lumley, Paul Rudd, Isla Fisher, Alec Baldwin, Kevin Nealon, Ellie Goulding, Alicia Silverstone and more. The goal of #MFMCountMeIn is to show what steps we all can take to go meatless for just one day a week or even more to help cut down on the environmental impact of animal agriculture and to help improve the health and wellness of everyone around the world.
Sir Paul marked the decade anniversary of Meat Free Monday and the launch of #MFMCountMeIn with the video below along with the statement, “It’s a simple idea that people have caught onto. They love it, we love it, the planet loves it, everybody loves it, the animals love it.”
