VIDEO: Lindsey Buckingham Performs First Time Since Heart Surgery At Daughter’s Graduation
Lindsey Buckingham returned to performing over the weekend in a very intimate, emotional setting: His daughter’s high school graduation.
Buckingham’s wife, Kristen, shared video of the performance via Instagram (below) and also shared via Twitter, “Last night was epic. First time I’ve seen Lindsey play in the last 4 mos, all the while Leelee ending her high school career. AND she sings a little Landslide with her dad. I cried, I’ll admit it. Never know what’s ahead so enjoy the moment…
Buckingham underwent emergency open heart surgery earlier this year and has kept a low profile while recovering since. The surgery resulted in damage to Buckingham’s vocal cords, which at the time, it wasn’t known if the damage was permanent. The video that Kristen Buckingham shared didn’t feature Lindsey singing at all, so whether or not the damage is permanent is still just speculation.
Regardless, it’s wonderful to see Lindsey performing live again, and what a special first performance to have since surgery!
