A nun passed away yesterday during a court hearing.

At the time of her death, Sister Catherine Rose Holzman was attending a hearing regarding a lawsuit filed by pop artist Katy Perry.

According to TMZ, Sister Holzman listed a convent in Los Angeles that was of great interest to two potential buyers, one of whom was Perry.

The deal went astray, which sparked the lawsuit.

Perry cited that Holzman tried to interfere with the sale as the reasoning behind filing court documents.

Katy won the lawsuit and was awarded $10 million dollars a few months ago.

Yesterday, the nun attended a post-judgment hearing, which is when she dropped to the floor and passed away.

At the time of her death, she was 89.

Her cause of death is not known at this time.
