Recap of Billy Joel’s Latest MSG Gig
It was an eventful weekend for Billy Joel.
First he announced his first monthly 2018 date for New York’s Madison Square Garden, which will take place January 11. His Friday (October 20) show, meanwhile, featured a cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” as a nod to his friend’s current show on Broadway, along with pieces of Led Zeppelin‘s “Rock and Roll,” Little Anthony & the Imperials‘ “Tears On My Pillow” and the seasonal appropriate “Monster Mash” by Bobby “Boris” Pickett.
Joel recently revealed that he and his wife Alexis, are expecting their second child during November and announced a New Year’s Eve concert in Sunrise, Fla.
