New Bowie Biography Delves Deep Into His Rock Star Lifestyle
A new David Bowie biography, David Bowie: A Life, is due out September 12 and will reportedly contain some revelations about the late rock icon, who died during January of 2016.
Britain’s Daily Mail reports that the book, by British GQ editor Dylan Jones, is full of tales about Bowie’s drug use and sexual promiscuity, including once being offered a “warm, dead body” to have sex with during a 1972 tour stop in Philadelphia. (He declined the offer.)
Not to worry, however, the book — described as an “engrossing, magisterial biography” written as an oral history — will also offer plenty of insight into Bowie’s creative life as well as his upbringing and the years he spent mostly out of sight living in New York with his widow Iman and their daughter.
