While rumors swirl about who will take the reigns as the next leading man on the ever-popular Bachelor franchise, we've taken matters into our own hands and nominated several men who we think would be perfect for the job.
Note: we have no idea if they're even interested, but we certainly think this would make for compelling TV:
Justin Bieber
You'd get to see what's really going on with The Biebs these days, plus you know there would be some incredible choices in both dates and outfits. And maybe Selena Gomez would pop in towards the end to have a heart to heart with him? That would be a must-see episode.
Wells Adams
We would love to see the fan favorite from JoJo Fletcher's season return as the lead on his own season of the show.
John Mayer
The singer-songwriter has given a few heartfelt interviews about how he's professionally fulfilled but is still searching for a partner in his personal life. He's tried dating celebrities before, so maybe this avenue is just what he needs to find lasting love?
Dean Unglert
If your heart didn't break watching Dean's hometown date on Rachel Lindsay's season of The Bachelorette, then you truly have no soul. We NEED Dean to find love. We're more invested in his relationship status than anyone in our own lives.
Chris Harrison
He's been helping people find love for more than two decades, and now it should be Chris's turn in the spotlight. He certainly would know the ins and outs of the rose ceremonies, and would probably have a good strategy for weeding out the ladies who weren't there "for the right reasons."
We also wouldn't hate to have Ben Higgins return for another try at being the Bachelor. Though things didn't work out with Lauren Bushnell, who's to say he wouldn't find his perfect match the second time around?
Lauren Levine is a freelance writer who has contributed to publications and websites including The Charlotte Observer, U.S. News & World Report, American Way magazine, The Huffington Post, Hello Giggles, Bustle, Thrillist, Thought Catalog, and others.
