This Underwater Winery Lets You Unleash Your Inner Mermaid
An underwater winery in Croatia is combining two of the greatest things in life: vino and mermaids.
Edivo Vina ages its bottles of wine for three months above ground before sending them underwater for two months to complete the process. Beyond the fact that this sounds super fancy, placing the bottles beneath the water’s surface apparently creates perfectly cool conditions that yield the tastiest wine.
Also, they say the silence found under the water helps to increase the quality of the wine that Edivo Vina produces. Who knew, right? Do you think sticking a bottle of cheap-o grocery store wine in the bathtub has the same effect?
If this winery sounds like something your mermaid dreams are made of, you can head to Croatia and take an underwater tour. Pick out the perfect bottle for yourself and enjoy it. Oh, did we mention that the bottles come out covered in coral and shells, making them even more mermaid-esque?
